PRESS: Ministry to get 416 bln rbl of mineral tax from Gazprom
MOSCOW, Jun 22 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Finance Ministry plans to withdraw 416 billion rubles from gas giant Gazprom as a lump payment under an increase of the mineral extraction tax in 2022, Kommersant business daily reported on Wednesday citing adjustments to the Tax Code, prepared by the authority.
The ministry said in a supplementary note to the bill that gas prices have increased on the European markets, according to Kommersant.
The tax applies to the taxation period, beginning from September 1 through November 30, the newspaper quoted the bill.
The bill has already passed the government’s legislation commission, and is likely to be approved by the government, Kommersant reported.
